Management Diplomas for Key Staff at MFC SurvivalOn Tuesday 22nd July 2009 MFC Survival employees, Mark Owen (General Works Manager) and Gareth Jones (R&D Project Coordinator), were awarded 'Level 5 Diplomas in Management' from The Institute of Leadership & Management (Post Graduate level).
Mark and Gareth have worked diligently towards this award over a period of one year through Coleg Morgannwg (Aberdare). The course consisted of the following Key stage units: - Understanding the Management role.
- Managing Stress and Conflict in the Organisation.
- Communication in Management.
- Understanding Organisational Culture and Ethics.
The course has given them both a good deal of food for thought, sparking ideas which they will share with their work colleagues. Works Manager, Mark said: “Our aim will be to implement a new cultural teamworking environment, focusing on communication, to develop clear procedures and structured processes through the empowerment of employees and a fair and equal working environment for all employees”. The Board of Directors congratulated Mark and Gareth on their personal achievement which is certain to have a direct benefit on the running and development of the Company as a whole. MFC Survival Ltd is based at Tonypandy in the Welsh Valleys and is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. The company, which manufacturers inflatable safety, rescue and survival equipment has undergone a restructure following its acquisition by the Mangar Group in 2005.
